I worked at American Airlines full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

good benefits, good pay, flexible hours since people are allowed to change shifts and pick up shifts for each other

Cons

no room for advancement unless your at a hub, Company almost always lost money from 2001 until 2012, because of this our pay and work rules continually got tighter,

Advice to Management

Keep up with the changes in the industry,

    Pros

    The wonderful people and the travel.

    Cons

    Management doesn't understand customer perception of the airline is damaged when they try to cut corners to save money. They are penny wise and dollar foolish and that's why bankruptcy.

    Advice to Management

    Be more labor friendly. Don't take huge bonuses while asking your front line employees to take pay cuts!
