I have been working at American Airlines full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

A this time. Morale is at all all time low I've never seen this company with such employees are so disgruntled after 28 years it's terrible sight to see because of most of these people will lost many benefits also pensions and their retirement medical have been taken away by the company sick days vacation You name it i've never seen a company that in my opinion hated their employees American Airlines management hates their employees but they like to benefit from their employees labor

Cons

Most Co workers will work together

Advice to Management

Find more experts in Management that know the Airline Business instead of coming from McDonald's style management company and quit hiring people that have no heavy jet exp it seem that upper management hiring people that are no qualified to do the job it's been like that for a long time needs to be a change

I have been working at American Airlines full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get to do interesting work that hits the headlines every day. Generally very good people. Great flight benefits allow you to see the world.

    Cons

Long hours are sometimes required to address real-time emergencies. Relatively flat pay curves leave little room for long-term income growth.

  2. "Great company, amazing perks, a perfect place for a new MBA to launch a career"

I have been working at American Airlines full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Rotational program, exposure to a breadth of projects, dynamic, fast-paced environment with an emphasis of work-life balance, as well as access to senior leadership and mentors. Very competitive compensation package, not to mention TX cost of living (no state income tax!) and if you quantify the flight benefits - easily beats any other MBA job out there.

    Cons

None. I am excited anew every day to come to work.

    Advice to Management

Hire more MBAs from selective programs.
