No opinion of CEO

Pros

I liked my coworkers and the clothes.

Cons

The manager for my store was incompetent. The workers in American Apparel are fairly young and therefore some are given higher positions than they can undertake.

Advice to Management

Hire people that are actually capable of doing their jobs and that are devoted to the company, and then your turnover rate will not be so high.

    Pros

You get to wear great clothes, lots of giveaways, young atmosphere. Work with people with similar likes, can be fun at times.

    Cons

Hiring is done by only hiring managers, takes time to set up interviews, only the best looking will receive the job. Upper management can be out of touch, or unrealistic.

    Advice to Management

Give more people a chance to work at your stores! There should be more district managers, upper management is spread so thin.
