Pros

Great work life balance within certain departments. Friendly people. Pay/benefits were pretty good.

Cons

Too much politics. Not enough communication from VP and above to managers. If you're not one of the favorites, you don't get recognized for your hard work. No accountabilty from dept. leaders for their mistakes.

Advice to Management

Use the employee survey results. Make your employees feel that their opinion/feedback counts.

    Advice to Management

You're no longer so profitable that you can afford to be mis-managed.
It is time to focus on ability and skill, otherwise you risk losing another tranche of able workers and promote a new round of self-promoters.
