I worked at American Income Life full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-People are generally nice to work with, minus the few exceptions.
    -Great networking possibilities.
-You like people and love to work hard and travel, try it out.
-Depending on the trainer, good training.

    Cons

-Promise you one thing, then postpone it. Very two faced. They promise you money to make up for your expenses after you take the class only to be informed in class you have to make a certain sales amount before receiving it.
-Terrible communication, no one know what is going on. You have to go through a line of people to get an answer.
-Only talk of how much money you can make if you work hard. Acting like it is the only incentive. Money is nice, but you need a life in the process as well.
    -Commission only, NO base pay.

If someone is supporting you then go ahead and give it a try. If you are supporting yourself, forget it unless you have money to spend and/or a ton of savings, and a car with good gas mileage.

    Advice to Management

Have a system of promotions based on actual ability to help others, not just sales numbers.
Communicate well instead of being ambiguous.
    Better support.

I have been working at American Income Life as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The training is excellent and support tools always ongoing! The earning potential is UNLIMITED!! If you can dream it, you can earn it!

    Cons

Late evenings, and travel but the income so exceeds these cons.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the positive reinforcement and recognizing your valued employees. It DOES make a difference to get a pat on the back and be recognized weekly! Most employers are right there to tell you what's wrong but rarely to tell you what's right! Thank you for all the support, no matter how much is needed it's ALWAYS there.
