I have been working at American Marketing Association part-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

New leadership with Russ Klein. He is fantastic!

    Cons

Wish there was more consistency with systems and tools among the local chapters - with so many chapters AMA National Office could negotiate great pricing

I have been working at American Marketing Association full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Friendly people with diverse backgrounds. Good opportunity for entry level people to gain basic experience. Casual dress code.

    Cons

Very outdated ways of doing things, inexperienced leadership in many areas who don't communicate well. Pattern of hiring people then letting them go when they realize they didn't know what they needed. No innovation or creativity. Outdated organization in most areas, don't stay too long or you will fall behind.

    Advice to Management

Do a better job of listening to members, and giving them what they actually want.
