    Pros

management treats employees well. positive environment. training and professional development provided. fast paced. it's a good stepping stone into the marketing/event community.

    Cons

work load could get a little crazy. long hours. mediocre pay. entry level is like a rat race. high turnover rate. no benefit packages. difficult to have the intensity required to do well over an extended period of time.

  2. "Entry level salaries hilariously biased, promotion opportunities minimal."

I worked at American Promotional Events full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Plentiful OT opportunities with boss frequently expensing lunch on those days, relaxed atmosphere. Plentiful chances to assume responsibility and pad a resume with examples of performance improvement implementations.

    Cons

Employees through the company paid significantly less than contract labor, raises were infrequent with no merit based considerations, essentially no chance of promotion within the company. Hours during the busy season were brutal, but somewhat decently compensated
