I have been working at American Standard Brands full-time (More than a year)

Pros

I have learned a great deal from my time here and have become more confident in my ability to troubleshoot. American Standard Brands does offer a decent vacation policy with three weeks of paid vacation starting out.

Cons

Little to no advancement opportunities and less than competitive pay.

Advice to Management

Care enough about your employees to treat them all equally and fairly. Pay them a reasonable wage and train them to become better than they are.

I have been working at American Standard Brands full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get 3 weeks vacation from the day you are hired.

    Cons

Management changes all polices and procedures to benefit certain employees. Too much favoritism and sideline personal relations with their insubordinates. Rules are bent for certain employees causing serious rifts within the department. Management also has no idea what certain people are actually doing while on the clock! They need to get up off their chairs and leave their offices once in awhile and check out what their employees are actually getting paid to do!

    Advice to Management

Be consistent! Get rid of the employees who are not there to perform their duties to the best of their abilities. Get rid of the employees who spend more time taking care of their personal business on the clock than anything else. Train everyone consistently. And once an employee quits or gives their notice, do nit make them a special case when they decide to return or stay. Do not let those people dictate their role in the department. They go back to the bottom of the pole and start all over and other employees do not shuffled or have their responsibilities changed to please the person who quit and wants to return because they are not happy with the "Amazing" job they left the company for.

Decent salaries and benefits for staff.

    Cons

Excessive meetings, time wasted on internal presentations that add no value to customer needs.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your sales reps and refrain from uninformed decisions affecting the marketplace.
