High Admin Turnover, Good Community
Feb 6, 2023 - Administrative Assistant in Washington, DCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Free undergrad tuition. Plenty of downtime in non-busy seasons. Nice campus and good hybrid or flex work arrangements. Other admins are very helpful to guide you through the position (YOU NEED IT)
Cons
FULLY TAXED Graduate Tuition (they take it out of your paycheck) There is a HUGE turnover for the administrative assistants. Little to no training (I received none). I was only given an outdated position guide upon start and my department heads were barely present at my start. I've been here for less than a year and have already gone through two supervisors who quit because of the workload and lack of training. You will need at least some familiarity with budget and reimbursements if your position says you handle that.
