> medical benefits: dental, vision, hsa/fsa, etc
> lots of overtime. an abundance
> true blue (no one has ever explained this to us, but it's good...or something)
> managers will generally work with you
Cons
> if you have a chronic condition that you will need days off for and can't apply for FMLA, don't bother applying
> chronically understaffed
> mandatory overtime (you go home when the work is done)
> favoritism (i have witnessed this with many employees)
> foot, knee, shoulder, and back pain
> pay only raised to $15/hr right before the $15/hr minimum wage went into effect, no talk of raising wages since
Well managed group of talented and personable legal professionals that work well together. Culture is excellent, everyone is always willing to help you learn and grow. Good work-life balance. Company is well respected in their industry and conscientious. When they say they value their employees, they are one of the very few companies I ever worked for that means it.
Cons
None that I can think of, really. As with any position sometimes there are periods of a higher volume of work or having to juggle multiple urgent priorities but overall it's not overwhelming. Because there are so many interconnected business units, and because we operate in a highly regulated environment with highly regulated products, there is a lot to learn, but everyone knows that and adjusts expectations accordingly.
