Pros

Avoid this place like the plague; it’s toxic from top to bottom!

Cons

ANABAS is a nightmare for professionals. Management is toxic, clueless, and completely incompetent - unprofessional. There’s no leadership, no support, and HR is just a name on paper. Unskilled employees are promoted merely to fill vacant positions. ANABAS brags about “high standards” but delivers chaos and poor service. Behind the fancy client contracts lies a broken system full of politics, stress, and frustration. If you value your mental health and career, stay away from ANABAS.

Pros

Met some good friends during my time at Anabas - only nice thing I can say in all honesty - misery does love company after all(!) I also learned about my own professional resilience and what I want in an employer going forward.

Cons

My mental health and confidence plummeted while working for this company - I found it a very ‘cult’ like environment and ultimately if you don’t fit into a very narrow box, despite your abilities, you’ll be torn down and/or shown the door. Senior management have very little respect for people below them and don’t like it if you have any kind of a personality. I saw this happen with a few people during my time there, people lost who they were trying to do their best but it was never good enough. It took me the best part of 6 months and therapy, along with support of a new employer to gain my confidence back in my own skills. Unrealistic expectations for certain staff to be perfect while others do the bare minimum. Considering I spent the majority of my time there in the week, and put in lots of extra hours as needed, the work life balance is shocking (some staff allowed to work from home but others expected in the office 5 days a week) and I felt unsupported a lot of the time. Workload for a lot of the staff is also too large.
