Pros

The pay is great, but the best reason is the patients. We are so blessed to work with these little ones!

Cons

No direct deposit. Communication with office staff to field staff is poor. No overtime, they pay you base rate at time and 1/2 so you only get your normal hourly pay for any overtime.

Advice to Management

Be fair on giveaways. Not just to your favorites. Give out other prizes besides a car every 6 months. Split up the money and give bonus to all employees at Christmas or something. The point system never works. They never put points into your account.

I worked at Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health part-time

    Pros

Great pay rate, more laid back management and staff- staff is trusted to do their job in a professional and autonomous manner rather than being micromanaged all the time. That was a nice change for a type-B therapist.

Office staff is small- you know who does what

    Cons

They need a good marketing department to get more referrals if they're looking to expand into DFW. I ultimately had to move on because the patients were too few and far (literally!) between. I've seen what good marketing can do for a company and they could be a force to be reckoned with given some self-promotion.

Office staff is small (yes... pro AND con!)- can take awhile to get information, especially via email.

    Advice to Management

Consider expanding advertising and marketing into the more urban areas, promote through your nurses so they know you offer therapy and give them guidelines for when and how to refer. Most of my patients' nurses really had no idea.

I have been working at Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Can't think of a single one. The kids are awesome! Anything positive written in previous reviews are obviously from someone at Corp office.

    Cons

So many to list. HORRIBLE office staff at Corporate in Sherman and in Houston, Corp especially. VERY rude and nurses take blame for everything, even if it's their mistake. ZERO professionalism. Lack of communication even after several apologies and promises to get better. They say they'll match pay and then don't. Expensive benefits, only +$2/HR holiday pay!!!!!!, NO PTO! Can't keep nurses working full time because their patients are dropping like flies and going to better companies that are professional. They don't care about patients families enough to keep them staffed with nurses even when they have many nurses willing to work. Hence, lack of communication. Payroll is always messing up leaving checks short. They gossip about patients and families in the office when they hang up the phone. They lie to tell you what you want to hear to make things easier on them. Never met a family that didn't complain about them and/or threaten to leave the company. Never met a nurse happy to work for them. So many more cons!!!

    Advice to Management

GIVE UP!!!! Sell to better company that knows how to do business!
