I have been working at Annapolis Micro Systems full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The work is challenging and ultimately satisfying using the latest FPGA technology. You have many opportunities to see your efforts materialize from concept to hardware to components in fielded systems. You interact with some of the brightest and helpful people in the industry daily. This not only provides for creative and meaningful team problem solving, but also interesting learning opportunities from others. The environment exudes the courage and curiosity of a startup with the stability of 35+ years of steady growth. They stand behind their products. Success is defined by the customer's success. Work hard, contribute, produce and you are rewarded. Last, but not least, the benefits. The health insurance package is one of the best available. Flex time is generous which helps achieve the work/life balance.

    Cons

The pace ebbs and flows as new tech becomes available and Annapolis pushes the envelope. Some may be unsettled by the amount Annapolis often sets out to achieve in a relatively short amount of time, but others will find it worthwhile and rewarding. The latter folks will enjoy this company.

I worked at Annapolis Micro Systems full-time

    Pros

    Good benefits/ flexible work schedule

    Cons

Top management procrastinates on important decision making especially when it comes to gaining potential revenue and employee development. If you are not an engineer, consider employee development for your position a wash. Very archaic accounting system. No direct deposit.
