"Good first job experience. Not much for higher-level managers"

    Pros

Client list includes a great deal of top rate events. The ability to travel and see these events is a great job perk for those yearning for this type of experience. Exposure to numerous events also allows for nice networking opportunities in the sport industry. Overall the staff is very nice to work with.

    Cons

Most of the work staff is fresh out of college and not very experienced. This provides a youthful energy to the staff but the lack of experience can slow progress. Upper level managers are not given the freedom to pursue best options for their category. Sometimes too many resources are given to the "BIG" events (Final Four, College Bowl Season)... during which time other annual events are almost abandoned. Senior management tends to favor and promote unworthy individuals, seems to be based on relationship bias.

    Advice to Management

Take emotion out of how to run the business and use a more rational forward thinking approach.

I worked at Anthony Travel full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Comfortable office environment, good benefits, good 1st job for learning about the travel industry

    Cons

If you want to succeed you must constantly stroke the egos of upper management. Some are close minded and some are untrustworthy. They favor those that are fun over those that are competent. The gossip is out of control.

    Advice to Management

Treat others as you want to be treated. Come out of your office and get involved with your staff.
