Neutral Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

It is better than unemployment.

Cons

Every benefit (Health, Vacation Time, 401k, etc) got worse for Hewitt employees when AON acquired Hewitt. The only thing that increased is that we could elect more Supplemental Life Insurance.

Advice to Management

Cut down on the management layers. Stop treating your lower level employees like they are dumb by "spinning" bad news. Don't pee on them and tell them it's raining.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

In Talent and Rewards, they certainly understand your need for career growth and try to help you reach your goals. Recruitment Processing Outsourcing (RPO) helps you learn new skills.

    Cons

In Recruitment Processing Outsourcing (RPO) they are not interested in helping your career grow but would like you to stay where you are doing great work. If you are retired or just not interested in career growth then I think this is perfect otherwise if you are ambitious I would not recommend joining this group.

    Advice to Management

So far I am satisfied and don't have any advice to Management besides keep doing what you do best.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Technology & Tools Offered to work daily

    Cons

From an employee perspective, this company oversells & under performs. Management is inexperienced and reactive, creating unprofessional chaos. Directives change so quickly that when things go wrong it's a crash & burn. The company will offer new hires competitive salaries and additional time off but understand, it will come at a price. In this work environment, the client comes first at all costs, specifically you. The stress attached to this offer will bring health issues and time away from your family that is just not worth it.

Watch your back as it's a given that you will have fingers pointing at it. This is a very aggressive work environment where cut throat, unprofessional tactics are the norm so be warned & be prepared.

Be smart in your time here, have a plan and protect your career. Exit strategy. Have one & Work it.
