I worked at Aon Hewitt full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Pay. Opportunity for raise. Friendly environment. Cafe with multiple food options.

Cons

Lack of organization. Management lacked enough experience to provide good advice. Would say one thing and the next five complete opposite advice and tell you that you did it wrong. Many people are not happy with the job but stay while looking for other jobs.

I have been working at Aon Hewitt full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Benefits Giant
    Stability
    Growth Potential
    Good Future
    Steady Income

    Cons

    Say goodbye to family
Managers are terrible as they don't get trained properly or know the meaning of empathy
Friends help backup friends and deserving folks get kicked
Fascinated with growing in India but totally disregard the terrible quality provided there
More willing to spend money sponsoring soccer teams/fields but not in approving decent raises for faithful and hard working employees
Terrible company when it comes to investing in the right technology at the right time

    Advice to Management

    Learn to empathize
People have lives, don't penalize them for things they can't help with
Try promoting non-friends and on merit only
Don't break the rules you help enforce so forcefully
Don't be hypocritical and then expect others to do the right thing
Reward employees at the right time and don't kick them when they are already down. A happy employee is a productive employee, I am not sure you know that
When you invest 5-6-7 years training/building/creating an excellent employee, don't let him/her go just like that. You are the loser in that!
Invest in technology now and stop wasting money on show off projects

    3. Upper management lacked an understanding of their customers
    4. Employees possessed none of the power but all of the responsibility
    5. Rather than solve problems, they sought to re-organize
    6. Lack of coordination between sites
    7. Work and re-work was unnecessary but there was no proper structure in place to avoid it
    8. 100% management and 0% leadership
