I worked at Aramark part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

The people that you work with are really good and there is a sense of community within the workers. Retail managers are there to help and endorse corporate policy of course.

Cons

Old systems, intense regulation, very busy if you are working in their university campus locations.

Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and their concerns more.

    Pros

Schedule flexibility, the staff I worked with

    Cons

Pay not worth it- Started out $7.50 because of the hiring manager and worked there for almost 2 years and only got a pay increase to $7.91. New employees would come in with less experience for the exact same job and start off with $8.

    Advice to Management

All hiring managers should have same start off pay for employees

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

The pay is decent but not for the hours worked.

    Cons

No Life Balance, the pay is not worth it.
They will fire anyone on a dime and think everyone is expendable (doesn't matter if you are a very long term employee).
They continue to take labor away making everyones job harder and then complain that people aren't doing their jobs.
The only reason they get 1 star is because you can't mark 0 stars.
They only care about the company's bottom line, they don't care about actually providing good service to clients-aramark is a service company but it's their last priority.

    Advice to Management

Stop pushing more work on everyone and stop complaining people aren't doing their jobs....it's because we are human beings and 36 hours in a day is not enough time to get everything done you expect.
Stop using bullying tactics to manage people- it doesn't get the job done. You need to find more positives in what people are accomplishing- stop only pointing out negatives.
