No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Arise as a contractor

Pros

Allows you to work at home, flexible shifts and hours, wide variety of clients available to chose from, good tech support staff

Cons

Ridiculous upfront certification fees and incorporation fees (incorporation can be up to $500 depending on state, and individual certification fees can range from $100-300). Much lower pay rates than competing WAH opportunites, ridiculous training hours (4 hours a day plus 'homework' for 3-4 weeks) which you must do on your own dime, trainers try to "micromanage" atudents rather than let them learn self-paced, picky system requirements (which differ by client) and complex logins and applications which vary by client

Advice to Management

Offer pay which competes with your competitors (LiveOps, etc), and allow self-paced stuying rather than 4 required hours a day of "webinars" - I don't see why anyone who has another job would be willing to spend up to 6 hours a day on their own dime doing this just to make mediocre wages (as low as $8-9 per hour).

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Arise as a contractor

    Pros

Flexibility of choosing your on hours. Working from home. Lots of clients to choose from.

    Cons

Pay inaccuracies. One sided SOW's. Incompetent upper management. No accountability when mistakes are made. Very hard to speak with a real person regarding issues that should be addressed and corrected quickly. Having to pay for training.

    Advice to Management

If we have to adhere to terms of SOW, Arise should as well. If I am unable to change the terms of SOW during the contract period, Arise should not be able to either. Stop making pay so difficult to decipher and shorting people of their hard earned money.

I have been working at Arise as a contractor

    Pros

Complete flexibility of work schedule. Ability to work as much or as little as desired. Very little supervision on a day-to-day basis.

    Cons

Management has very little experience. Promotions based on who stays around the longest with a particular client instead of competence. No discussion at termination, if ONE thing is incorrect you are removed, end of story -- you just get an email.

    Advice to Management

Respect the people who provide service to your company and don't treat them as if they are so expendable. It is very easy to forget the little people when business is good, but there may be a time when you will need loyalty.
