    New Management style ; There's a lot to learn and a lot of difference personality however the management team needs to act more professional. Implement a less stressful to work in.

    I worked at Aristocrat Technologies full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

    Some good people to work with. Flexible hours. Probably the most clever MSSQL database architects and developers outside of Microsoft itself. Pay was good.

    Cons

    This is specific to Systems organization: - Too heavily reliant on closed source technology (ie. Microsoft/VMWare). - Completely refuses to use modern software architecture. No cloud-based technology. No open source technology. AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes? Never heard of them. - No innovation and no hopes to build technical skills to further career. - Most engineers wouldn't know what a 12-factor app was if...

    Advice to Management

    No engineer worth their salt wants to work on monolithic WCF services, stored procs or WinForm apps. I predict most of your talent will be gone this year (2019). If you wanted a bunch of mediocre offshore C# devs, you are on the right track.
