I have been working at Aristocrat Technologies full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

Aristocrat is a global company with teams all over the world making all types of games and supporting technologies. The work force is diverse with a broad range of professional experience and cultural backgrounds. Aristocrat has purchased four large companies in the last five years and integrated the teams and products enabling new technology and product opportunities to employees.

    Cons

The rapid growth of the business and the addition of multiple companies has created a large number of overlapping teams and technologies. The overlap creates confusion and uncertainty across the organization due to a lack of clear communications across similar job functions (regardless of the original company). No opinion of CEO

I worked at Aristocrat Technologies full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Some good people to work with. Flexible hours. Probably the most clever MSSQL database architects and developers outside of Microsoft itself. Pay was good.

    Cons

No cloud-based technology. No open source technology. AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes? Never heard of them. - No innovation and no hopes to build technical skills to further career. - Most engineers wouldn't know what a 12-factor app was if...

    Advice to Management

No engineer worth their salt wants to work on monolithic WCF services, stored procs or WinForm apps. I predict most of your talent will be gone this year (2019). If you wanted a bunch of mediocre offshore C# devs, you are on the right track.
