I worked at Arnold Transportation full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

E-Logs, Newer Fleet of Tractors.

Cons

Old fleet of Trailers, Lousy Dispatching that does not consider HOS rules, Have to fight for every last dime you make honestly are they will not pay. Do not reimburse immediatly cash paid for carrying on their business. Does not have a Driver Advocate or anyone that even ask the Drivers Opinion about blanket rules they impose. No consideration is taken as to safety of the driver or their equipment.

Advice to Management

Learn to listen, Learn to care or you will keep having huge driver turnover.

    Pros

The operations people at ATS were a very hard working group. The technical people were also competent and had a fair understanding of the businesses they supported.

    Cons

Vacation policy was absolutely atrocious. Also, bonuses were just non-existent, as the company didn't turn enough profit. Company was very "inbred" as a result of previous owners merging of three distinct business groups into one.

    Advice to Management

Hire some decent sales folks who can sell freight where the trucks are, instead of just selling freight and then trying to figure out how to run trucks at a profit.

I worked at Arnold Transportation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

payday is every week. Electronic logs. the terminal is located in grand prairie, texas and is very driver friendly. free washers & dryers. Showers. Maintenance program takes care of the equipment. Good accounts. Not cheap accounts. Sears, Home Depot, Walmart, Pratt, Mason, Ford,Coca Cola, etc

    Cons

Driving through Dallas. Its bad enough in a 4 wheeler, but a tractor trailer-ugh. The tractors max out at around 67mph. that's not a terrible thing Ive gotten enough warnings & tickets in faster rigs so its probably for the best.

    Advice to Management

Take care of the drivers they really are the core of the industry
