I have been working at Arrowstreet Capital full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Smart coworkers, decent benefits, office lunch

    Cons

For a leading quant investment firm, the pay is not up to industry standards. Raises represent cost of living adjustments, nothing more, and a good bonus is maybe 10% higher than your bonus target. The partners make the money here and do not distribute generous pay to top performing employees. There is also not a culture of trust. During 3 foot snow storms, the message is to either take a vacation day or come to... the office, no work from home exceptions made.

I have been working at Arrowstreet Capital full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The flat corporate structure provides access to some world renowned industry professionals and leads to a group-focused approach. The work/life balance is decent, especially for the financial industry. Senior folks have been very receptive to new ideas.

    Cons

Some room to improve technical systems that have been outpaced by firm growth.

    Advice to Management

Continue introducing opportunities for continued learning.

I have been working at Arrowstreet Capital full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefits are good 20 days PTO, 5 days SPTO

    Cons

You end up taking on extra work without the pay while management takes a long time to hire someone. Even after the position gets filled there is not a good work/life balance since the additional workload will be the new norm for you.
