Pros

attractive public areas and outside grounds. medical surgical nursing unit surgery suite, emergency room, radiology and administrative areas are new or renovated . Good parking, Community wants a good hospital. Community is supportive of hospital. Great schools and athletics. If you are a doctor or outside consultant you make a buddle of money and bonuses.

Cons

IT technology is lacking, micro managment by senior leadership. New doctor's are recruited without thought or concern to upgrade staff skills to support new doctors. continuing education is non exsistant. CEO brags how great things are but he does not live in city. He has no involvement in city. CEO only lives here mid monday through mid day friday. Much of the hospital needs renovation. CFO road blocks improvements. Administration does not allow you to improve the area. Housing is difficult to find. Rent is VERY expensive. House prices are above average market. Violence in community is high.

Advice to Management

Hospital is managed by CHC. The corporation needs to replace the ENTIRE ADMINISTRATIVE group.
