I worked at Arvest Holdings part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Profit Sharing and bonus incentives for those in an In-Store.

    Cons

Micro-managing Regional managers, middle management unwilling to go to bat for their employees. I was physically accosted and verbally abused by customers and non-customers alike and could not defend myself for fear of losing my job. Their is a big difference between showing great customer service and being a punching bag, literally.

    Advice to Management

Show support to the employees and there might be less turnover.

I worked at Arvest Holdings full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Free checking account/ATM card; Nice, large televisions in the breakrooms; Free popcorn on Friday

    Cons

Salary, incentives and overall benefits package; Limited career/growth opportunities; Outdated executive team that lacks direction and competitiveness; Aversion to change

    Advice to Management

The best thing that could happen to Arvest would be for the Waltons to sell the company and for the new owners to clean house. Unfortunately, that will never happen. The executives will continue to run the bank in a way that encourages those who are uncompetitive in their fields/job market to stay and those that are marketable to leave.
