I have been working at Asana full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Every single person is truly, honestly, and genuinely a caring, nice person. Office politics are pretty much nonexistent, and it really feels like the team is pulling together, not against each other. You get real ownership of what you're working on, and the associated acclaim for success. Asana the product is heavily dogfooded, and really does make everyone more effective. The view from the office is stunning. And absolutely...

    Cons

None! Well, really, no company has _no_ cons, but I'm hard pressed to find what they would be here. The CO2 on the sparkling water tap is out today, so you have to go all the way to the cafeteria to get some...

    Advice to Management

Continue to work hard to support the culture - its our greatest asset.

I have been working at Asana full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Everything from the on-boarding to the actual work on a tangible product is well done, especially for a start-up. Smoked trout for breakfast and just the awesome culinary team in general are nice perks too. The leadership at Asana is incredible - so mission driven and actually listens to the rank and file.

    Cons

It takes some getting used to some of the internal terminology for things, but this is part of what makes Asana unique.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and maintain the incredibly high hiring standards as we scale.

I have been working at Asana full-time for less than a year

    Pros

If you have to work full time (let's face it, most of us do), Asana is an amazing place to do it. My quick description of the people here is that they are all SMART and NICE, which can be an unusual combination to find, especially on a large scale. Because we build a tool that's focused around clarity and accountability, I find a high degree of those qualities also pervade the work culture. We work towards clearly defined...

    Cons

Like most larger companies, things sometimes move slower than at smaller, scrappy startups (my previous company was under 30 people, so quite different), because there are more stakeholders to consider and greater complexity to navigate. However, there's a lot of awareness and conversation around how to maintain efficiency / velocity at larger scale and I feel confident we'll continue to problem-solve around this as we...
