I worked at Ashford University part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Pros include working on your own time (telecommute), good training on the software, responsive IT dept. It was an easy way to make some extra money, but was also very time consuming to grade so many assignments.

Cons

The hiring process took months and months. I had to submit many writing samples and jump through too many hoops before they would hire me. The pay was decent, but seemed a bit low for the amount of experience you needed to have for the position.

I worked at Ashford University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

For the most part, the managers are really cool people and will not through you under the bus if you mess up. The pay use to be a lot better. You can move up relatively easy if you just listen to what others have done before you.

    Cons

People who are pissed off at Ashford probably hated their manager, worked here when people got insane raises every 6 months, but that no longer exists and now they are pissed. Yes, it pretty much is telemarketing, but its does not take a brain to do it.

    Advice to Management

Share the wealth, you make a ton.

I worked at Ashford University full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Got job experience that helped me get a job at another university
    Good education benefits

    Cons

The whole company is shady. Employers and the company as a whole did anything they could to get students in the door. The university lost it's accrediation. It's no surprise.
Plus, the pay was a total joke.
