I worked at Ashland full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits and immediate supervisors care about their employees

    Cons

Ashland will give you far more work than one is capable of doing, force you to work so much your health is at risk and then tell you that you aren't doing enough.

    Advice to Management

Remember that your employees are people - not machines. There is a direct correlation between employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction.

I worked at Ashland full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    > Lots of opportunity for growth - have to find it yourself
    > Onsite amenities - cafe, work-out center
    > Solid and premium Brand
    > Bottom-line focused

    Cons

    > Need to be apart of groups -- get to know people, what they do, how they do it
    > Succeeding at the company REQUIRES building relationships, without them, you will not expand your career
    > Bottom-line focused -- no real loyalty to employees. Loyal to shareholders and performance.

    Advice to Management

Too bubble-based in decision making. Advancement should be based on performance (EOY reviews, ROI, etc.) vs. "who you know"
