Pros

Aspect education services - class room training programs are too good. The kind of exposure you get with the lab equiments is awesome.

Cons

Not very generous with the pay .

    I worked at Aspect Software full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    They pay may have been slightly above the norm, but they likely did that because they valued us. Economy and reduce work has hit them hard though. The services they provide are second to none. The 'other guys' out there providing call center solutions have a niche, but can't come close to what Aspect offers in overall features and capabilities.

    Cons

    As mentioned in Pros, the economy has hit Aspect hard. They have been laying off people for a couple years now. Hopefully things will turn around with the economy, and they will flourish again. The only thing they've done recent that didn't make any sense, is they kept buying out other companies. It just doesn't make sense to buy out companies, and in the same quarter lay off employees. Not sure if their priorities are right.

    I have been working at Aspect Software full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    The people are amongst the best in the industry, the dedication and the willingness accomplish corporate goals. Not just accomplish but exceed company targets. Collaboration is done across all areas of the business and project teams from engineering to R&D work closely with Marketing and Sales to provide constant feedback.

    Cons

    Executive Management fails to listen to the feedback from areas of the business, yes they provide the outlets to submit feedback, but failure to implement is evident by non renewals from existing customers. Trying to be all things to everyone is not Aspect's strong suit. They should focus on being the solution provider for which the company was originally founded. Implementing Concerto policies has since been the downfall of the company. Also letting go seasoned employees that offered both coaching and mentoring has created an on-boarding nightmare.

    Advice to Management

    Implement the suggestions of your employees, stay true to the foundation of providing the solution customers need instead of selling simply products. Reward your employees. Get in the trenches and make yourself available for customer calls. Plus side at least you brought back ACE so maybe you are trying to be the company that once Was.
