    Pros

    Good work/life balance, with opportunities for professional development. Depending on your job, there are many opportunities to work with those in other departments.

    Cons

    Raises are an option, but minimal. For a health company, there are not a lot of health opportunities (on-.site gym, healthy eating options).

    I have been working at Assurant full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Starting pay, benefits, hours of operation, great co-workers, job security, on-site cafeteria and fitness center, easy parking situation, great trainers.

    Cons

    Micromanagement, completely unrealistic expectations for handle time, understaffed, extremely low pay increases (less than the cost of inflation), little to no room for advancement. Out of touch Managers who are not intelligent enough/trained enough to even do the job of their employees!

    Advice to Management

    Hire more people! Listen to reps on the floor/front lines! Don't become the Wal-Mart of health insurance! Encourage your employees with praise AND constructive criticism. I have heard accolades from OTHER reps and from customers...but, never from my own manager.
