Pros

Great benefits, cool people, nice work/life balance

Cons

Work very hard, but never accomplish anything in terms of deliverables of products to clients. Lack of leadership and vision from the owners and senior management. Egos outweighed experience. Imbalanced workload and unclear roles and responsibilities. Outdated technology. All employee issues are sent directly to HR instead of managers working through problems and offering solutions.

Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and help them achieve their professional goals instead of stifling good talent.

I have been working at Astoria-Pacific full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some very talented individuals in a variety of positions.

    Cons

Ownership and leadership is absent. The leaders who are there are power-hungry and/or simply not capable. No strong direction for the company and promotion is unheard-of. Pay is middling to low as well.

    Advice to Management

Hire a face for the company to lead. Update facility if at all possible. Get rid of staff who are underperforming. Look at advertising and marketing.
