I worked at AstraZeneca full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

There are some really good people left in the organization, very good training and great benefits. The company treats employees fairly. There are some really good upper managers

Cons

The industry is changing, more medical facilities are locking out pharma reps every day. the company is very concerned about compliance so that cuts down on creativity. There is a lack of innovative new products. There are some really bad upper managers

Advice to Management

Give local managers and reps the ability to adjust to the local environment.

I worked at AstraZeneca full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Global culture, helping support the development of innovative medicines, and raising disease awareness

    Cons

Poor executive leadership and accountability...the global culture is based in English and Swedish values and can be frustrating at times.

    Advice to Management

Standards for performance and executive leadership accountability seem to change once you hit the glass doors of the USLT. Serious changes are needed at the executive level in the United States and in London
