    I worked at AstraZeneca full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Up until 3 years ago the company was able to be managed very well financially for many years so that change could be managed without the need for large layoffs

    Cons

    The R&D organization was able to keep the pipeline reasonably full but in the last decade the output of new marketed products could not sustain the business and so large cuts were necessary.

    Advice to Management

    Make bonuses throughout the organization contingent on meeting objectives related to getting new products on the market.
