I worked at Atlantic Council of the United States as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

The Young Atlanticist program lets you make substantial contributions to projects around the world. There's a big focus on developing applied skills for interns and taking on a workload that's more interesting and dynamic than the standard internship. Great camaraderie within the program. Team members could not be more helpful with career development, same for the new HR director at the Council.

Cons

No pay for interns (other random intern perks can be available, though), not a lot of interaction among the other programs.

Advice to Management

Emulate the way that Young Atlanticist treats their interns.
