Pros

The company is full of extremely smart people who are forward thinking, encourage growth and development, and are extremely passionate about their work. This makes for a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and exciting work experience from which to learn and challenge yourself.

Cons

While I learned a lot while I was there, I felt a bit underutilized.

I worked at Atlas Energy Resources full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They had very good health/dental/vision plans as well as paid time off (vacation and sick). They were very good in scheduling time off due to family issues. A very nice group of people to work for. Very professional in both actions and dress.

    Cons

There was no advancement pattern. You were hired for a job and there was no option for advancement. It seemed only a few seemed to get promoted to other positions. It also seems as the casual dress code came into effect, personnel started to look sloppy. I think it does matter how you present yourself. I think when people dressed professional, they were regarded a higher level.

    Advice to Management

They need to start a plan where there is continuous on-site training in MS Office, as well as a path for advancement (at least for the support staff).
