No opinion of CEO

Pros

a lot of vacation and flex time and great benefits

Cons

being contracted out to another company makes it very hard to feel a part of either company, get attention from either, and therefore- tough to get praise or a raise from either. i feel i have absolutely no support from either of my managers at microsoft or siemens

Advice to Management

there should be a way to handle position and hr related issues when a person is contracted out to another company. i feel i have absolutely no support from either of my managers at microsoft or siemens

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Close to where I lived. Of course I moved there, to be close to work. They did pay for my relocation (from Houston to Dallas). And at the time I was hired, it was a decent salary (early 2005); unfortunately I never got more than a 1 or 2% raise during the next 6 years!

They also milk the whole Olympics thing for a lot of free publicity (and free volunteer labor from their employees). That could be a con as well.

    Cons

Understaffed for the amount of services they try to provide. Poor morale. Overly large amounts of night & weekend work (and no overtime for most of the "exempt" employees). Low salary base and no significant raises for years. Constant threat of layoffs. No real path for advancement. No support for telecommuters. Minimal support for training and travel. Ridiculous amounts of employee turnover (especially Windows and network groups). Practically unknown company in the US. Aging technology base and physical plant.

    Advice to Management

The "new" Atos (post Siemens IS merger) has given them a chance to clean up their act. I suggest you all do so.

    Pros

The benefits above average. Time off is great. Flexible work schedule/hours.

    Cons

    Compensation is low.
To make any thing decent, you need to be hired from the outside.
