I have been working at Atria Senior Living part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Atria is a great place to work especially when you first get out of Nursing school.

Cons

Because it is assisted living as a nurse you don't get to use a lot of your skills.

    Pros

I get the opportunity everyday to enrich the lives of our residents, I enjoy going to work everyday(very important to me), I feel as though I am heard and treated well by everyone I work with/and for, the benefits are good in addition to all of the extra benefits atria offers just for being an employee! pay is good, hours are good, management is very understanding and flexible if something comes up unexpected, residents are loved and respected (most important)

    Cons

I feel the "big fix" with honestly any company is that if we all just calmly talked to each other respectfully on a constant basis most issues would be resolved.

    Advice to Management

keep up the good work, always make your staff feel valuable and important, and also try to help each other out

I have been working at Atria Senior Living full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Maybe it's just here on Long Island, but the employees here are treated with respect and given many great opportunities. The company promotes from within. They also have many giveaways which have recently included tickets to Six Flags and a Kindle Fire. The pay is on par with similar places.

    Cons

Needs better system for advertising job openings on the lower end. I'm just not a big fan of advertising on Craigslist. Sometimes takes a little too long to hire people when in need. I should note, however, that this problem lies with most corporate jobs. Having to go through the interview process, drug test, background check and TB test take time.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.
