I worked at Au Bon Pain part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Discounts on food
The people I worked with were fun, but knew when to get down to business
Always had something to do, so time went by fast

Cons

You stink after work
Always seeing and working with the food made me sick of it
Some shifts were either really busy or really slow, so you were either really bored or really overwhelmed

Advice to Management

Scheduling better during busy hours and slow hours of the day

I worked at Au Bon Pain full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The training was very thorough. I really felt like I learned all aspects of the business before I ran my own shifts. The benefits- health insurance etc was fine.

    Cons

As with any salaried manager jobs I felt like I worked all the time! 12 hour days, sometimes 6 days a week. I don't think my GM worked as much as I did. This is probably just my GM but he let certain employees get away with so much! If I was the GM I would definately get rid of a few people he kept around for some reason.

I have been working at Au Bon Pain part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

fifty percent of food, the hiring process was quick, met some unique fun people, free coffee and any fountain drinks.

    Cons

People were very gossipy and talking behind the management back, I hate being exposed to people gossiping. working downtown is hard because the people that come in to order have a lot of attitude activing like they are better than you

    Advice to Management

come up with better ideas for food
