Pros

Flexible, meaningful, fun, team members are helpful and willing to teach (ofc respect goes both ways; put in the effort to learn), able to get expose to various types of children/youth on the spectrum very quickly (unfortunately as there are increasing numbers of them).

Cons

No CPF, no work, no pay system, have to do paperwork/attend meetings and/or trainings outside working hours, families go on holidays and sessions have to be cancelled which means periods of holidays are the lowest earning months.

Pros

- self learn and experience with different types of clients (parents & child) - build a good foundation on communications with clients due to constant 1 to 1 lesson with both parent and child

Cons

- underpaid according to how much client is actually paying - some resources such as toys especially when teaching younger kids are not provided or reimbursed - travelling expenses not covered even though have to travel all over SG & very hard to claim - although mentioned that schedule is flexible, boss will push cases. If you don't take it, he may bring up contract matters. - When having issues with clients, staff is on our own. When admin is contacted, we are told to settle ourself or they take client's side. - no CPF -
