I worked at AutoNation full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Big name is the only pro.

Cons

EVERY department is constantly dealing with pay cuts. I have never seen anything like it. I put up with it for 5 years. Only hourly employees are safe. They only care about the stock. This includes sales parts AND service. All that plus a lot of training! YAY.

    Pros

    The people you work with.

    Cons

Pay,Benifits, hours,Management as a whole. No over time pay for flat rate employees.

    Advice to Management

Learn to take care of your employees as well as you do a customer. Pay for 1/2 of the benifits not none at all. Pay your Auto Service Techs more than 13% - 22% of the shop rate and make raises more attainable than when you feel like sending them to school.
