I have been working at AutoZone part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

20% store discount will be good, and its an easy job and I can help people with advice on how to fix their car.

Cons

9 Bucks an hour is pretty crappy, and i'll be part time, hopefully this will be my part time 2nd job and not my only source!

    I worked at AutoZone full-time

    Pros

Great company with good benefits. I can't speak for the retail side, but at the DC I worked at the management team was firm but fair. A lot is expected from managers (Advisors and up) but you are given ample opportunity to finish the training before they "throw you to the wolves".

    Cons

It takes a bit to get use to the culture.

  2. "It's a retail store, not an auto parts store."

I worked at AutoZone part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Plenty of hours
    Flexible scheduling
    Great coworkers, not upper management
Many benefits if one takes advantage of them
Max 6 hours of work then break

    Cons

The forced selling of random packets of grease for the simple reason of sales
    Upper management is overbearing
Some policies imposed by corporate are ludicrous

    Advice to Management

Make AutoZone into a parts store with more reasonable hours. Don't worry about sales. Don't sell customers things they don't need.
