Approves of CEO

Pros

great work, great people.. never a dull moment helping people try to figure stuff out on their own, then they clearly should not be working on their own vehicles.

Cons

none, much better than the last auto parts store i worked at. however i wish there was more of a dress code difference for the store manager, to make it clear to customers

Advice to Management

send out letters to the stores, have them fill out questionaires, and have them answered, tallied, and taken into consideration. maybe Bill needs to apply for 'Undercover Boss'

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

problem solving and troubleshooting customers ever changing needs. every customer presents a new challenge. also many repeat customers that provide for relationship building

    Cons

Many of the people you see on a daily basis are very unhappy, not with you or with the company, but because they are do it yourselfer weekend warriors that eithe do not know how to fix their vehicles or have to spend money they do not have.

    Advice to Management

District Managers seem to have a pretty good grasp of day to day operations. This is important and should not change. Some visablity to senior management would be benefical. Additionally, decisions are made without consulting field employees. no where for feedback that goes upwards.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

The 20% employee discount on inferior automotive parts. Picking up side jobs from customers who are not knowledgeable enough to repair their own vehicles. Access to specialty tools at a decent price +
    %20 Employee discount.

    Cons

Inferior pay. Autozone considers it a priveledge to be a fulltime employee. Even fulltime employees do not receive a full 40 hour schedule. Employees never receive a fixed schedule, making it impossible to have a second job to make enough to pay a mortgage.

    Advice to Management

Show more appreciation for the people selling the merchandise making it possible for senior and executive management to take home millions, and giving Autozone a fortune 500 ranking.
