I worked at Autodesk as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Work - The projects are great, and absolutely relevant to the company. Needless to say, interns aren't assigned "toy projects", and instead get challenging and stimulating projects.

Learning - There's a lot to learn on the job, and the mentors really help in easing the interns into the codebase. That being said, the employees are really approachable whenever there's any help required.

Environment - The timings are flexible and there is no real pressure of deadlines (atleast for the interns). The overall atmosphere is pretty friendly, and the office is quite spacious.

Cons

This would really be called nitpicking, but the compensation paid to the interns is perhaps a little on the low side. My take would be that the quality of work more than compensates for that though.

I worked at Autodesk full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Smart and lovely people, very outgoing and welcoming to everyone who enters the office. Generous budgets, goes for both marketing and sales activities as for social staff gatherings. Very cosy and friendly office environment.

    Cons

I would say that work/life balance suffers a bit at Autodesk. A lot of people worked late nights and weekends either just to keep up with all tasks and meetings or to climb the carreer ladder.

    Advice to Management

Easy up on the conf calls, they're neither efficient nor effective...
