    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Avalon Health Care full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Great co-workers, love the residents.

    Cons

Pay is pretty bad - I applied here because someone who works here told me it paid okay ... when I applied and was hired (the lady who interviewed me didn't know the starting pay) I found out I'm getting more than $1.20/hour less than what the other person gets. He started with no experience as well, earlier this year. Someone else started recently on the NOC shift, as is getting the same pay as me. You'd think they'd pay a little more for the night shift.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Avalon Health Care full-time

    Pros

Supportive, caring, good hearted residents and family members.

    Cons

To (some) Nurses and (some)CNAs: Decorations are NOT for YOU! Decorations at facility should be recognizable items for the RESIDENTS who have difficulties of cognition for Month, Season, and Holidays. (Please don't decorate, Because YOU WANT to decorate. ) To Activity Director to be: If you want to IMPROVE this facility, this is a good place. There are many staff who really don't know the common sense and good manners. Activity Assistants are soooooo lazy.
