I worked at Avanade full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Opportunities to work on medium to large scale projects. You will learn a lot and develop both technical and soft skills if you work hard at it.
    - Travel which can be a good or a bad thing.
    - Good exposure to Microsoft products.
    - Training opportunities for improving technical and soft skills. I enjoyed flying to Seattle to attend the in person trainings. Avanade also covers the cost for taking certification exams.
    - Free MSDN Subscription
    - Yearly $2000 allowance to spend on things that could help with work/life balance such as Gym membership, electronic items etc.

    Cons

    - Greatly influenced by the parent company Accenture. Most large projects come from Accenture so sometimes you don't feel that you are directly contributing.
    - Lack of focus on people and more on meeting annual sales targets. Lots of times consultants are put in staff augmentation projects where they are not able to fully utilize their skills and experience.
    - Salary.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on people and building the direct business and allowing the opportunities where consultants can directly contribute, learn, and grow their career.

I have been working at Avanade full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Great colleagues to work with and learn from
    -Fantastic Projects
-Required paid 80 hrs training per fiscal year
-Like working for the parent company who's name starts with an 'A', but without the burn-out effect

    Cons

-Travel can be stressful if you are in a travelling position. Some people love it, but some people just aren't cut out for it.
-Some policies are a bit odd, but will hopefully be changed in the future
