    I worked at Avaya full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good products and market share in the traditional (voice) call center space
    Better compensation package as compared to some peer companies
    Some very good technical people

    Cons

    1. Very siloed organization structure.
    2. Company run by powerpoint and spreadsheet from conference rooms (management out of touch with reality)
    3. Very poor M&A integration, company run as several internal companies
    4. Very poor customer service
    5. Other than laying off people, management has no clue to how to maintain EBITDA, not sure how long they can continue doing this

    Advice to Management

    1. Get alignment at EC level first!
    2. Walk the Talk
    3. Breakdown silos
    4. Invest in people

    Pros

    Good Unified Collaboration and Call Center technology and services
    Working to be more competitive in all areas of the company
    Could be a good company if they can ge through the current environment

    Cons

    Reduced headcount in sales, customer service support and other areas impacting ability to solve customers business issues
    Morale is low
    Quality and experience of sales people has declined

    Advice to Management

    Make an effort to keep the quality people
    Cost cutting is impacting customer experience
