I have been working at Aviva full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Benefits, good pay, yearly bonues, and lots of interensting stuff. Overall, it's a good company, a nice job, good money, and if you work hard, you will be noticed. From time to time, depending on the manager, you will be taken out to beer, or pizza, or whatever. You get medical insurance for you and your family, and private pension.

Cons

Tight schedule, you cannot leave to take your exams, but it depends on the dept. manager. The colleagues are a little stiff, and I think, a little too work addict. In IT, there aren't a lot of career opportunities, and the manager is not so understanding.

I worked at Aviva full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Decent health insurance
    Good 401k with company match
    Employee annuity and insurance
    Disability pay

    Cons

    Terrible vision and dental plans
Some managers are not given enough training and are often under educated in terms of industry and traditional university education
    Not enough training
Not paid enough for the job
Very little opportunity for advancement unless you are willing to wait a long time
    Absence policy is very strict

    Advice to Management

Encourage middle management to take more industry education classes. Take another look at the absence policy.
