I have been working at Azimuth full-time

    Pros

Working on advanced wireless test equipment
    Flexible work hours
Interesting work for .Net, embedded and DSP, and for hardware/FPGA engineers
If you have vision for a solution, you will be probably free to implement it
    Few layers of management

    Cons

The market is small and goes through cycles. Azimuth has had several rounds of layoffs over the years. Still struggling to expand into new product areas, so far without much success. Creative people are worn down from development deadlines.

    Advice to Management

Go deep and long-term on expertise in the technology. Seems that thinking is just too short-termed - geared directly to sales needs. Need to develop a permanent comptetentcy.
