I worked at B. Braun Melsungen full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

B.Braun respects individuality. It appreciates and commends performers and good performance. It also offers an enviable work-life balance atmosphere and experience.

Cons

B.Braun is a sales driven company...to the detriment of marketing. It still clings to the 'old' thinking that everything is negotiable on price. It pays little attention to growing the brand or brands, which B.Braun has plenty of...outstanding and very unique brands.

    Pros

    There's disparity in the culture in different parts of the same company in different part of the world.
    It's better to work under this organisation in certain countries but not others. Even in the same country leadership quality varies greatly so it's a case of luck whether you carve a career out there.
    The ones who stay do so for a very long time.

    Cons

    Weak training program for new staff. Management believes very much in on-the-job training.
    Lack of specialization of roles hence a lot of senior staff need to double-up & multi-task leaving insufficient guidance for new/ junior staff.
    New staff who remain lost if they can't take the beatings from OTJTs will leave within 1 year.

    Advice to Management

    As a medical company, should focus more on development of training programme and coaching of new staff rather than depending on customers to train your staff up.
