I have been working at BAE Systems USA as a contractor (More than a year)

Pros

The company is loyal to the customer and does everything it can to abide by government rules and regulations.

Cons

This company treats its employees like they are expendable. Any complaint against management is met with threat of removal and subsequent admonitions.

Advice to Management

Take the time to vet your analyst. Too many of my peers lied on their resumes and are a complete liability while deployed out in the front lines.

I have been working at BAE Systems USA full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Supporting the war fighters who protect us. Modified 9/80 work schedule. Broad exposure to various technologies.

    Cons

Compensation not always inline with responsibilities of position; especially when exceptional performance leads to additional responsibilities without being given additional comp.
Middle management often fails to follow company values. Expectation (need) to work additional hours beyond scheduled.

    Advice to Management

Don't portray yourselves as following the ITIL Framework when there is no effective CMDB in place. Review employee workloads.

I worked at BAE Systems USA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There was a lot to learn there. If you were in the right department, your supervisor will help you along the way. You will travel a little or a lot, and get to see a lot of neat things! Pay was great! You can be almost whatever you want to in this company.

    Cons

They have these things called PDRs (Performance Development Review) which do not help you advance in the company at all. Management just has you do it so they can check it off the list. There will always be someone talking behind your back, so keep account of your activities and be prepared to recount them.

    Advice to Management

Training manuals for each job employee is given.
