I have been working at BDS Marketing full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

The flexible hours, setting your own schedule, the opportunity to meet a wide array of people, hands on with new technologies.

Cons

There are constant direction changes which makes doing the job more difficult than it needs to be. The recent change in the pay plan to commission is a little unsettling because it is based on the honor system which I have never heard of in a sales environment. The upper management makes it seem that the program is in peril every other day. There seems to be communication issues at times as people seem to never know what is truly going on.

Advice to Management

A better plan needs to be implemented to providing information and the content team needs to be in better contact with the carriers to provide better information to be used while in the field. The commission system needs to be re-evaluated in order for the system to be more accurate.

    Pros

Open dialogue with executive teams and leadership within the organization to continually grow programs and revenue.

    Cons

Program changes are frequent and looming contract endings always make teams feel like tomorrow could be last day.

    Advice to Management

Harder conversations with clients regarding the dissolution of teams and what the impact of that is for the organization long term.

I have been working at BDS Marketing as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility in choice and location of assignments available as well as the hours one chooses to work (need to be available at times the individual store locations are open-which vary).
    Reporting website works fairly well.

    Cons

Job assignments come too infrequently and sporadicly so one needs to look for other jobs to help supplement income.
